Ronaldo willing to pass the torch to Vinicius Jr.
Cristiano Ronaldo just chose who will be his successor.
And that is none other than Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr.
According to A Bola newspaper, Ronaldo is willing to be a mentor for the Brazilian young star.
“I think Vinicius Jr is a real talent, but he needs to improve,” said the Al-Nassr striker.
“I will teach him some tricks, I think Vinicius Jr is on the right track.”
“Vinicius Jr. just needs more time to become the best player in the world in the future, if someone tutors him,”
Ronaldo, who used to play for Real Madrid, believes Vinicius Jr. can absolutely be the best player in the world.
Vinicius Jr. inherited Ronaldo’s No.7 shirt in Real Madrid, a huge honor for the 23-year-old since he grew up idolizing the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
In fact, Vini Jr. dedicated the iconic “Siuuu” celebration to Ronaldo after completing a hat-trick against Barcelona to win the recent Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
“The celebration was for Cris, because he’s my idol, and now he is playing here,” he said.
So far, Vinicius Jr. has scored five goals in his 12 appearances in La Liga.
