Barca eye Haaland to convince Xavi
Mundo Deportivo reported that a plan has been mapped out to sign the 23-year-old Haaland with Barca.
The Blaugrana see the Norway international as a future replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
Lewandowski will turn 36 in August.
Haaland will also serve as a bargaining tool for Xavi to stay at the club beyond this season.
Xavi, 44, announced in late January that he will be leaving this summer after the squad’s disappointing first half of the season.
However, Barcelona has experienced a resurgence after Xavi’s announcement.
The Catalan giants have surged into the second spot in LaLiga and the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has been impressed with Xavi’s ability to utilize the potential of the club’s young players.

Meanwhile, previous reports mentioned that Haaland wants to play in LaLiga.
However, the striker has been linked to Barcelona’s greatest rival, Real Madrid.
So far, Haaland has scored 29 goals in 35 matches for Manchester City this season.
