La Liga Recap: Week 15
Real Madrid defeated Sevilla, 2-1, earlier this week at La Liga to pull apart somewhat from the rest of the contenders.
Karim Benzema became the highest French goalscorer in club football matches with a netter at the 32nd minute, surpassing Thierry Henry for the honor. Vini Jr provided the winning goal with three minutes left in regulation time.
Los Blancos then followed it up with a 1-0 victory over Athletic Club on Thursday, Benzema once again scoring in this match.
Real Madrid now have 36 points, seven points clear of the closest pursuer.
