Vinicius Jr in line to join the 1-billion-euro club
Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr reportedly agreed on a new deal with the club after the amazing season with double victories.
According to the source from Fabrizio Romano, Vinicius Jr. would be in line to be the next player worth 1 billion euros.
The negotiation has gone very smoothly for Real and Vinicius
The new deal, which is in the final negotiation stage, will keep the Brazilian forward at Real till 2026.
The new buyout clause will also rocket to be at the same level with Los Blancos’ top players like Karim Benzema, or other teams’ high-profile ones such as Gerard Pique, Ansu Fati…from Barcelona.
Vinicius Jr’s previous buyout clause was 350m euros.
Spanish side Marca stated that, in the next 10 days, Real would release an official announcement of Vini’s new contract signing.
The hint can not be any clearer, as Vini himself ‘liked’ the post by Bleacher Report Football, mentioning him in agreeing to a new deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Details of Vinicius’s new deal at Real Madrid
It is reported that the initial plan was to tie the former Flamengo star until 2028.
However, Marca reported a month ago that the player himself preferred a short-term, which is 2026 or 2027, ideally.
His salary will be raised from the current rate of 3.2 million euros up to 10m euros.
The astonishing 1b euro buyout clause is a definite sign of how Madrid’s club values Vini and his contribution.
At this rate, Vinicius will be the club’s big star and kept away from all offers.
Vini ended the 2021/22 season with 22 goals and 20 assists, and played almost every game for Real Madrid, including the Champions League final at Cardiff, as he scored the only goal.
He also paired up perfectly with Karim Benzema in the 35th La Liga trophy.
