SANTIAGO BERNABEU’S WORLD CUP FINAL HOSTING UNCERTAIN

Perez pushed for the renovation of Real Madrid’s home stadium, Santiago Bernabeu, to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup final.

The stadium was recently equipped with a retractable roof, LED lights, and a state-of-the-art facility to meet Perez’s goal.

Among Spain’s major stadiums, the Bernabeu is situated in Madrid to lure more fans to watch the semifinal or final.

MOROCCO’S CHANGE OF DECISION HINDERS PEREZ’S PLAN

However, Morocco, which along with Portugal and Spain, will jointly co-host the World Cup, has changed its mind.

The African nation also wants to stage the final since it’s Morocco’s first time to host a World Cup.

Moroccan officials are looking at developing the Grand State de Casablanca, like the Bernabeu, to stage the tournament’s grand finale.

It remains to be seen whether Spanish and Moroccan officials will meet a common ground to settle the issue.
