List of unwanted Barcelona who must leave this Summer
As the Summer transfer is going on, there are up to 5 Barcelona players who should seek a way out as soon as possible.
Neto, Mingueza, Riqui Puig, Samuel Umtiti and Martin Braithwaite are the 5 unwanted players that must leave Barcelona very soon.
Catalan-based newspaper Sport quoted Barca’s manager Xavi from one the latest press conference about this issue:
“”I was very clear with them since May. They are looking for solutions. We are trying to help them so they can have the opportunity to play. They already know that here it will be impossible and that they have to look for a team. We have time, but they know how their situation is,”
According to Sport, Xavi will not remove those 5 players if they decide to stay; however, they have couple of weeks before the transfer window ends to figure out their futures.
Neto, Mingueza, Puig, Umtiti and Braithwaite were not in the list of Barca’s squad who travelled to US for the pre-season games. In fact, they are at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to resolve their current situations.
So, what is next for this list?
The most positive case must be Neto. The Brazilian keeper is having offers from Napoli and Fulham.
However, trusted sources such as Fabrizio Romano stated earlier that, Fulham does not meet the former Juventus stopper’s demands, while Napoli is serious about having him.
It can be much easier for both Neto and the Serie A’s club, if Barca released the player and let him go as free agent.
Mingueza may be staying at La Liga for a couple more months, same with Puig and Braithwaite, but there have been no serious or official offers despite them having been eyed by some clubs.
Meanwhile, Umtiti was not able to complete a proposal from France, as he is in doubt of his fitness.
