Atletico Madrid are in talks for PSG’s Marco Verratti

In a bid to compete for the La Liga title, Atletico Madrid have been busy during the Summer transfer window.

The Madrid club have already signed Javi Galan, Caglar Soyuncu, Cesar Azpilicueta and Santiago Mourino so far, and they are absolutely stacked in terms of defensive options.

Diego Simone wants more; a defensive midfielder is the manager’s next target. According to L’Equipe journalist Loiz Tanzi, Atletico have entered preliminary negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over a possible signing of Marco Verratti.

No offer has been made yet, but depending on the outcome of the talks, one could be forthcoming in the next couple of weeks. However, PSG’s asking price is believed to be in the region of €80m, which could be too much for Los Colchoneros.

OFFICIAL: Pablo Torre leaves Barcelona for Girona loan

Barcelona have confirmed that Pablo Torre has joined Girona on a season-long loan as the midfielder has signed a temporary deal until the end of June 2024, which does not include a purchase option.

Torre moves, hoping to play regular football in the 2023-24 campaign in La Liga. The youngster barely featured in his debut campaign at Barca and needs to get back on track.

Torre becomes Girona’s sixth summer signing after Paulo Gazzaniga, Daley Blind, Savio Moreira, Yangel Herrera and Yan Couto.

Musah left out of Valencia squad

Milan’s target Yunus Musah has been left out of the Valencia squad for their pre-season friendly against Nottingham Forest. The updates spark speculation that Musah is close to securing a move to Milan in the coming days.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Milan are confident of getting a deal wrapped up with Valencia in the next couple of days. The Rossoneri plans to have the US international on board by the time they set off for their pre-season tour of the United States on Friday.

Barca want Joao Felix

Fabrizio Romano reported quotes from Joao Felix, in which the Portuguese confirmed his desire to play for Barcelona, which he identified as his “dream club.”

Felix has been linked with a move to Barcelona on multiple occasions. However, it has not worked out since the Portuguese joined Chelsea on loan last season.

Barcelona will try to sign Felix from Atletico Madrid this summer, although, given their poor financial situation, it will take a lot of work.

Felix is an outcast at Atletico, as he does not enter Diego Simeone’s plans for the new season. As a result, a deal could be possible, but it will depend on Barcelona’s ability to afford it.

Meanwhile, Oriol Romeu to Barcelona will be made official very soon.
