La Liga Prediction: Week 16 (Barcelona vs Real Betis )

La Liga week 16 prediction: Barcelona vs Real Betis

Barcelona would get a chance to climb the La Liga table as they play fifth-placed Real Betis at Camp Nou on December 4. Will the latter able to put resistance on a superpower looking to recover lost ground?

After a bumpy October where they only accrued four points in five league matches, FC Barcelona are on the rise once more. They won their last match, against Villareal on the road, 3-1, to stand at seventh on the table with 23 points.

Real Betis Balompié, on the other hand, won their last four assignments, the last one against Alicante, 4-0, in the first round of the Copa del Rey. They defeated Levante last week, 3-1, to stay put at fifth.

The Blaugrana have an overwhelming head-to-head record against the visitors, 16 of their 25 victories happening at Camp Nou. The thing with history, though, is that it is all in the past, as Los Verdiblancos are aiming to have their best La Liga performance since 2004-05.

One thing that has been consistent in their meetings is that their result is usually over 2.5 goals. The last time they went under 2.5 is 2017. With Barcelona averaging almost two goals at home and Betis 1.69 goals on the road, over 2.5 is a safe bet.
