Game Highlights

Real Madrid 2-3 Villarreal: Los Blancos beaten at Bernabeu

Carlo Ancelotti’s side succumbed to a 3-2 defeat at Bernabeu as the Yellow Submarine pulled a spectacular comeback.

Villarreal twice pegged back their, with Samuel Chukwueze was the real MVP with his brace.

Pau Torres’s own goal and Vinicius Jr’s goal put the Capital club ahead twice.

26-year-old Torres is now the player with most own goals for the Castellón club as no Villarreal player has scored more own goals in LaLiga than him (three, along with Javi Venta).

Luckily for the centre-back, as Chukwueze came to rescue the away team. The 23-year-old winger produced two goals and an assist, including the stunning winner.

The Nigerian winger became the third Villarreal player to ever score a brace against Real Madrid in LaLiga after Santi Cazorla in January 2019 and Diego Forlan in May 2006.

Barcelona 0-0 Girona: Blaugrana miss chance to go 15 points clear

League rival beaten, but Barca missed the chance to move 15 points clear at the LaLiga summit after being held to a goalless draw at home in the latest game of this round.

Brave visitors were dominated for the whole game, but a fine display from Paulo Gazzaniga kept Blaugrana at bay, while Valentin Castellanos shockingly missed it with this curling wide in the second half.
