Sevilla 0-3 Barcelona: The unbeaten run continued for Xavi’s quad

New signings Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski went on to show their unstoppable forms by helping Barcelona claim the 3rd consecutive league’s victory against Sevilla.

The Catalan club seemed to have already put the disappointing draw with Rayo Vallecano on MD1 behind. Things now look set to head in the right direction, and it was reflected in their way of defeating Sevilla.

The host started quite strongly with determination as Julen Lopetegui’s side pressed with intensity. Marc Andre ter Stegen made some good saves from En-Neysri and Barcelona’s old boy Ivan Rakitic.

However, it was the visitors that took the lead after 21 minutes solidly standing against the pressure.

Raphinha opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a header after Polish striker Lewandowski’s shot got scooped off the line. Former Bayern Munich star Lewandowski added the second goal only 15 minutes later with the astonishing finish after Jules Kounde’s effort against his former club.

Ironnically, the French man was the main string that pulled the third goal by assisting for Eric Garcia’s first goal with Barca, it was in the second half of the game.

Three goals were more than enough for Xavi’s side with another victory on the road. This victory also helped Barca extend their unbeaten run away from home to 15 (W11 D5).

The run included Barca’s famous win at Santiago Bernabeu last season, while lots more stadiums are featured, among which were Villarreal, Valencia, Real Betis….

Real Madrid 2-1 Real Betis: The king remained intact Rodrygo’s goal earned Real Madrid a hard win over Real Betis, as the reigning La Liga’s champions remained intact with 100% record.

Vinicius Jr opened the scoring in the first half with a sublime chip over Betis’s Rui Silva at the 9th minute.

It was an important goal, knowing that it had been almost a decade since Los Blancos ever took the lead before the green and white opponent. That’s how tough Betis is.

The Brazilian forward now had three goals in four games, showing how vital and crucial he has been from last season.

However, former Real Madrid’s star Sergio Canales cancelled the party, only eight minutes after Vini’s goal. The pass from Borja Iglesias was converted successfully by Canales with a finish through Thibaut Courtois’s legs.

Los Blancos pressed to take back the lead, but Rui Silva’s reflexes helped the visitor keep the draw.

Karim Benzema did not have a productive day as his goal got called off for a handball (by Luka Modric), minutes after the restart.

The deciding moment finally came when substitute Federico Valverde burst into the box and found Rodrygo who made no mistake near the post and scored the winning goal.

Former Real Madrid’s coach Manuel Pellegrini tried to claw back by bringing Joaquin, but the veteran did not do well enough to save his side from suffering the first defeat of 2022/23 campaign.
