Fans shocked as Son Heung-min omitted from PFA Team of the season
Cristiano Ronaldo and as many as six Liverpool players are included in the PFA Team of the year.
Reactions flooded in as PFA released their picks for Team of the season with the shocking omission of Son Heung-min.
The Tottenham Hotspur’s ace had one of his best seasons in the Premier League, scoring 23 goals and registering 7 assists, which helped him win the league’s Golden boot alongside Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

Son’s fantastic season on individual performance
It is worth noting that the Korean striker scored all 23 goals without a single penalty for the whole 2021/22 season of the Premier League.
Son’s incredible performance fired Spurs to the Champions League next season, though they struggled for the most part of the season.
Twitter’s users react to Son’s omission
Twitter users, including fans and big sides such as Goal, ESPN, and Bleacher Report…all showed their disappointments in PFA’s pick of the Team of the season.
“Son should replace Ronaldo…”, a tweet read.
“Where is Son?”
“Son is robbed!”.
If it’s some sort of consolation for the Spurs man, he was awarded Cheongyong Medal – South Korea’s highest sporting honor, by the country’s president himself!
Most fans agreed that Cristiano Ronaldo should not be there in the PFA XI, as Man United finished 6th and only made it to Europa League next season.
Meanwhile, Man City had only 3 players in the Team of the season, despite clinching the league’s title with 1 point ahead of Liverpool, who had double that number of players.
