Decision not final for Xavi

Xavi insisted that he would leave Barcelona after the season, just three months after arriving at that decision.

The 43-year-old made it clear ahead of Blaugrana’s match against Cadiz, saying “I will not change my mind.”

Since the announcement, Xavi has led Barca to a 12-game winning streak across all competitions.

Laporta and Barcelona are still trying to convince Xavi to remain at the club.

The Spanish chief understands that everything is revisable, and there is still time to talk about it.

“We will discuss this issue at the end of the season,” he said.

“He is doing very well. He expressed himself in the sense in which he expressed himself, I understand that everything is open and everything is revisable.”

“I understood that there have been circumstances that led him to do what he did. But at the end of the season we will talk. There is time to talk about it.”

Barcelona will gun for the semi-finals slot in their Champions League second leg clash against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on Wednesday.
