In the exclusive interview with @esport3, Laporta confirmed that the Catalan giants are working on a deal to sign Guler, with their new Sporting Director, Deco had traveled to Istanbul on Thursday to negotiate with Fenerbahce.

Guler’s name has been linked with several top clubs across Europe since it emerged that the attacking midfielder’s release clause is a humble €18m.

However, Barca’s unlikely to sign Guler this Summer because of their financial issues. However, a deal for next year is a genuine possibility.

The 18-year-old has been turning heads across the continent following Fenerbahce’s breakout season; no wonder all top clubs are following him, who has been excitingly dubbed ‘The Turkish Messi’.

Being compared to Lionel Messi is a rite of passage for any attacking wonderkid, and Arda Guler is no different. The diminutive forward is attracting attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs this summer, having been excitingly dubbed ‘The Turkish Messi’ some time ago.

La Liga are giving Barcelona the go-ahead to sign Guler, and he appears to be a sensational signing for the future.

Vitor Roque is underway

Laporta revealed that the club is also sealing another attacker, Vitor Roque, from “The window opens tomorrow, but we have already done much work. VITOR ROQUE… Work is underway.”

At just 18 years of age, he has already made his debut for the Brazilian national team, and his attributes give him a decent shot of being a success in Europe.

On the face of it, there’s nothing to dislike about the potential capture, and if he can realize his potential, then his reported €35m transfer fee (+ €10m in variables) would seem like a bargain.
