Espanyol 2-4 Barcelona: Blaugrana crowned 27th LaLiga champions after Robert Lewandowski scored a brace at the Catalan derby at the RCDE Stadium.
What happened
There were no accidents as Xavi’s side clinched the title at La Liga 2022/23 Matchday 34 after scoring four against local rivals Espanyol on Sunday.
Barca’s top scorer Lewandowski scored twice during first half, while Alejandro Balde and Jules Kounde also contributed to the four-goal lead.
The Home side got two back with goals from Javi Puado and Joselu but the Catalan derby ended up with the title won for the league top clubs with four games to play.

Polish striker turned home the opener in the 11th minute after Balde’s inch-perfect cross, and his second, which was his 21st league goal, came before the break
Balde scored himself as Barca doubled the lead after 20 minutes, having converted Pedri’s cross.
Kounde added the fourth early in the second half, heading home his first Barca goal from De Jong’s lofted pass.
Espanyol finally came into the game and pulled back late goals through Puado and Joselu but it was too little, too late as Barça clinched their first league title since 2019.
The celebration
The visitors side wildly celebrated but then had to withdrawn to the tunnel when Espanyol fans invaded and broke up the celebrations.
Barca players can wait until next round to enjoy the moments with their home fans at Spotify Camp Nou when they host Real Sociedad.
