According to multiple reports, Arda Guler has chosen to join Real Madrid over Barcelona, including Mario Cortegana – a trusted sports writer from the Athletic.
The Turkish sensation has been talked about for weeks who caught the eyes of both La Liga giants Madrid and Barca.

Arda Guler chooses Real Madrid
Previously, the Catalan club’s president, Joan Laporta, revealed that sports director Deco has been negotiating with Fenerbahce to sign him in Turkey.
However, Guler favors the chance to sign for Los Blancos and reported has decided to be the new Galacticos.
Once the deal is closed with final talks being finished, he is expected to join Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the pre-season.
Guler has a contract until 2025 that includes a release clause of €17.5million (£15m; $19m), which Fenerbahce asked to be met. Real Madrid are expected to pay more than the release clause to ensure he has a smooth exit from Turkey. Fenerbahce have also included a 20 percent sell-on clause.
The Turkey international matches the profile of Real’s current transfer strategy: he is young, talented, and available at a price that is seen as reasonable, considering his potential.
Likened to a former Real Madrid great, Mesut Ozil, due to his technical excellence, Guler was in superb form for Fenerbahce last season. No one in his age group in the Super Lig and Europe’s top five leagues had more goal involvement, and he also appeared on the longlist for Tuttosport’s Golden Boy award last month.
