Almería host Espanyol at the Power Horse Stadium in the first scheduled match this week. These are two sides looking to extracate themselves from the bottom half of the table.

Cádiz CF vs RCD Mallorca

Cádiz are aiming to get out of the relegation zone when they battle Mallorca at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla on Saturday. The vistors, on the other hand, are within reach of continental qualification and would like to keep step with the teams above them.

Girona FC vs FC Barcelona

League leader Barcelona journey to Girona to further pad their lead on top. The white and red-shirts, meanwhile, are in a tight spot as the 11th-placed squad are only four points separate them and relegation.

Sevilla FC vs Elche CF

Home side Sevilla find themselves in a dangerous position at 15th spot. A win against bottom-rung team Elche can give the former some cushion.

Getafe CF vs Real Betis

Visitors Real Betis are in the peloton in the fourth to tenth slots on the table. A victory will give them an inside track for continental competition.

Real Valladolid CF vs Valencia CF

So near yet so far. Three points are the only difference between 12th-placed Valencia and 18th-ranked Valladolid.

CA Osasuna vs Atlético de Madrid

A positive result by either club puts them in good stead to be able to play in European tournaments next season. Such is the situation from fourth to seventh on the LaLiga table.

RC Celta vs Athletic Club

A superior tiebreaker is the only reason Celta are outside the dreaded relegation area. Meanwhile, Athletic are gunning for a spot for higher level competition.

Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad

Real Madrid battle Real Sociedad in a crucial matchup. The two clubs are behind Barcelona and would like to not let the latter get awya from them.

Villarreal CF vs Rayo Vallecano

Villarreal are seven points behind the leading pack and would like to join the fray. Rayo Vallecano, on the other hand, are outside looking in for a place in Europe.
