Lewandowski says no to Saudi
In a report by Mundo Deportivo, Saudi offered Lewandowski, 35, around €100 million per season to play in their country.
The growing pro league in the Middle East also previously persuaded Lewandowski to take his talents with them.
However, the Polish striker insisted that he wants to stay in Barcelona.
Lewandowski remains contracted with Barca until June 2026.
His contract also includes an option for another season based on his performance in the 2024-25 season.
Lewandowski has previously reaffirmed his commitment to Barcelona, saying he remains happy with the club.
“I’ve been at Barça for a year and a half, and I feel very good. I have won and scored many goals. I am very, very happy and pleased,” he said.
Besides, Lewandowski and his family have already settled in Barcelona.
Outstanding season with Barca
So far, Lewandowski has been in good form in 2024 for Barcelona.
The Poland international has 11 goals and four assists for Blaugrana since the turn of the year.
Most importantly, Lewandowski has played a crucial role in Barcelona’s rise in LaLiga table.
Barca is only eight points behind league leaders Real Madrid.
