The two goal advantage was secured and Madrid came out to win their 16th game against Os Celestes, with an impressive run after 18 games in the La Liga (W16 D2).

This outcome was not exactly unexpected. After all, Madrid came into the game having not lost any of their last 17 matches against Celta in LaLiga (W15 D2).
