Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio was outstanding with three goals and three assists this month. Antoine Griezmann continued to have a nice period for Atletico Madrid, while Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri, alongside Athletic’s Inaki Williams have been at their peaks.

However, it came down to Inaki Williams, who delivered in one of the most important games of the season for his club.

28-year-old Inaki had one of his best months, bagging three goals for Bilbao.

He registered a brace, one a poacher’s goal and the other a wonderful strike, set the Basque Derby alight and provided Athletic Club with a crucial victory against Sociedad.

Athletic Club’s Captain stole the show for the home side, as forced home the opener before the break, and sealed the victory, with a brilliant solo finish in the closing stages.

With that brace, he has already reached his joint highest tally in the last four seasons at eight league goals.

Besides, Inaki is level with six goals to be among top scorers in La Liga Basque derbies in the 21st century.
