The Japanese midfielder was crucial with four goals during the month when Real Sociedad clinched 12 points from 15. Kubo was directly involved in four goals, while his fantastic quality contributed heavily to the Basque side’s play.

Kubo started the month in high fashion, scoring a double against Granada, which was Sociedad’s first win this season.
The former Real Madrid star did not score at the Santiago Bernabeu but contributed massively in the build-up for Ander Barrenetxea’s goal.
It took Kubo not long before he was back in the scoresheet, firing home over Getafe before sealing a formidable month with the goal and the viral celebration in front of the home fans in the Basque Derby.
Four wins in an important month put La Real firmly in the top six, and Kubo is the next Player, after Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham, to clinch M88 Mansion’s POTM this season.
In early October, Kubo has already had five goals in seven games in La Liga this season. Only Madrid’s Bellingham has scored more than the 22-year-old.
