LaLiga Club Cádiz CF Profile
Cádiz CF Summary
Cádiz CF (full name Cádiz Club de Fútbol, SAD) were founded in Andalusia in 1910 as Cádiz Foot-ball Club. They first experienced playing at La Liga in 1977, and have been in the first tier for a total of 14 seasons since then.
The longest time the team spent at the Primera División before getting relegated was between the 1985-86 and 1992-93 seasons. Prior to getting promoted in 2020, Cádiz Club de Fútbol languished in the lower levels for 14 seasons.
Cadiz play home matches at Nuevo Mirandilla that has a seating capacity of more than 25,000. The stadium was inaugurated in 1955.
Salvadoran legend Mágico González is widely recognized as the best player to ever play for the team. Other key players in the club’s history include Bocoya, Hugo Vaca, and Chico Linares. The latter two became CAD managers as well.
Curiously, Cádiz have never won a major tournament both in the domestic and continental levels.
