Ageless José Luis Morales of Villarreal CF proved he still has the footspeed. He raced to recover the ball from a badly received backpass for an easy goal. This tied the match at one goal piece, but El Submarino Amarillo succumbed in the end, 2-4. Juanmi of Real Betis was the recipient of a Sergio Canales pass from near midfield, as he tapped tbe ball for the first significant play of the match. Canales scored via penalty later in the evening to close off Real Valladolid CF, 2-1. Mikel Oyarzabal of Real Sociedad sent the ball in from the left side with his left boot for an early goal. The through ball was provided by Kubo Takefusa. Nevertheless, La Real failed to hold on to the advantage as the match concluded in a 1-1 draw.
